These cat back systems can be matched with a choice of replacement front pipe options in the form of either a sports cat or a de-cat pipe to create the most dynamic sound track. Testing of the standard M140i revealed power figures of 327 whp and 367 lbft. Working in conjunction with one of our tuning partners AET Motorsport, we installed the Cobra Sport turbo back system (with de-cat) on the AET Motorsport development car and ran further power testing. With the Cobra Exhaust installed, the M140i recorded 349.2 whp and 389.9 lb-ft, an increase of 22 whp and 23 lb-ft with a fantastic sound track to match. Taking this one step further, AET installed Burger Motorsport JB4 and the EWG loom and ran dyno power runs on map 1,2 and 5. The best results were seen to be on Map 5 where the BMW M140i produced 423 whp and 453 lb-ft this means an overall increase of 96 whp and 86 lb-ft over the stock vehicle.
